About
About FarmBoy Workout: strength programs for farm work
We make strength and mobility programs for farmers and ranchers, built from published research and from how a working day on a farm actually goes.

Why
Why the company exists
Farm work is hard on a body, and it is hard in the same few ways, day after day: lifting from the ground, carrying on one side, kneeling, and climbing in and out of the cab.
Plenty of people who do that work figure chores are exercise enough. In one sense they are right: they are strong. But chores repeat the same motions and skip others, and most fitness programs were written for someone with a gym, a free hour, and a flat floor.
FarmBoy Workout writes the other kind: programs that fit around chores, use what is already in the barn, and train what the work leaves out.

How we built the programs
From published research
We read the studies on farm work and the body: knees, low back, shoulders and neck, balance, and the age of the people doing the work. Each tier leans on the areas those studies point to.
We did not run any of those studies. Every finding we print is on the research page with a link to its source.
From how farm work goes
Sessions run 15 to 30 minutes, three or four days a week, so they fit before or after chores. Each tier is 12 weeks. You do them in work boots, in the yard or the barn.
Planting and harvest happen. A program can sit for a week and pick back up where you left it.

For
Who trains with us
Anyone who works the land, at any age. The programs are written for people from their twenties into their seventies: a young hand who wants to keep the back they have, a rancher in her fifties starting to feel the cab steps, a grain farmer still doing chores at 70.
Three tiers cover the range, from gentle mobility work in Foundation to heavy carries in Full Strength. You move between them as your body changes.
Some people come here for a parent. There is a page for that: For your folks.

Caution
What we will never do
- Promise results. No before-and-after photos, no pounds lost, no pain gone. Results vary from person to person.
- Claim to treat anything. The programs are general strength and mobility work. They are not medical care or physical therapy.
- Talk like a gym. No beast mode, no "no pain, no gain." If a move hurts, stop it.
- Make up research. We print only findings we could check at the source, and we say what they do not show.
- Sell your number. If you sign up for texts, your mobile number is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing. The texts are new programs, seasonal offers, sales, and announcements from us.
- Sell you supplements or gear. The moves use tools most farms already have.
Find the tier that fits your body
A few questions about how your body feels and what is in your barn, then a suggested tier with its price.
Caution Check with your doctor before you start. Results vary from person to person.
